2023 Youth Expanded Studies Scholarship

Brief Description:

The Youth Expanded Studies Scholarship is for students who are residents of Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, or DeSoto County or currently attend a school in one of these four counties. Recipients must plan to utilize this scholarship to participate in a distinct educational program, opportunity, or event, beyond the typical school setting (examples may include summer educational programs and/or experiences). This scholarship is not meant to support students in pursuing college courses or degrees. Current middle school and high school students are eligible to apply.

Scholarship recipients are selected on an objective and competitive basis.  Applicants will be judged on their financial need, objectives of the program, and the student’s ability to succeed.

Special Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must:
- Be current middle or high school students
- Reside in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, or DeSoto Counties for at least one year or currently attend a school in one of these four counties
