Brief Description:

The Community Foundation of Sarasota County is a local thought leader on employing a two-generation model of support for students and their parents.  We are committed to opening doors for Title I elementary school parents in order to support their acquisition of college credentials which lead to family-sustaining wages.  The Community Foundation of Sarasota County 2Gen Scholarship connects low-income parents from north Sarasota County elementary schools to educational pathways which build their skills as well as social capital.

Application Information:

Special Note: This application is only available to students who:

1. Are residents of Sarasota or Manatee Counties for 1 year or longer.

2. Have a child enrolled in Alta Vista, Emma E. Booker, Gocio or Tuttle Elementary Schools.

3.  Have received a referral from the Parent Education Navigator to apply for the 2Gen Scholarship.

4. Will not be receiving a renewable scholarship or another scholarship from the foundation for the 2021-2022 school year.

5. Will be 18 years of age or older as of December 31, 2021.

*No other students should apply using this form as all ineligible applications will be automatically denied.
